ONE of Glasgow’s most popular bakery branches has closed temporarily.
The Greggs store on Queen Street, Glasgow, has shut for a month for a “refresh”.

Shoppers will be able to visit the store when it opens again on June 3.
The branch is particularly popular with commuters and tourists who are near the train station and George Square.
The closest available Greggs to this one would be the branch on Buchanan Street – which is only a few minutes’ walk away.
No further information has been provided about the closure.
Greggs has been contacted for comment.
However, the news comes amidst plans to open a new Greggs store inside the station.
It’s not confirmed yet – the plan is still being considered by the council– but it would be located on the North Hanover Street entrance of the station, just up from George Square.
A decision on whether plans can go ahead or not will be made by Friday, June 16.
It comes after M&S opened a brand new store in the Glasgow station in February.
News of the new store emerged at the start of the year after new signage teasing its opening was spotted at the station.
But it’s not all good news – elsewhere, there have been some permanent closures amongst popular restaurants in Glasgow.
For example, Frankie and Benny’s at Aberdeen Queens Links Leisure Park is shutting up shop later this month as part of a string of closures made by The Restaurant Group (TRG).
It’s part of a total 23 closures hitting by the end of the month in an effort to boost profits.
Branches affected are scattered throughout the UK.
Overall, the shake-up will leave the hospitality chain with 97 restaurants and about 2,000 staff.
